Was Planet Vulcan destroyed in the 2009 movie or not?

Events show that it WAS distroyed by the romulans. And this happened
right at the beginning of Kirk and Spock;s journeys, according to the
2009 movie. As they went further (in the Original Series), planet
Vulcan appeared as OK. So did Spock's mother...who apparently "died"
in the 2009 movie. There are 2 episodes in the original series that
have relation to Vulcan and vulcans being alive and well. Are these
flaws? I am trying to understand the story logical and chronological.
